Series A consists of twelve episodes, shown between September and December 2003.
The DVD release contains thirteen, with the original non-broadcast pilot included also. The pilot apart, all the episodes have titles (and subject material) beginning with the letter A. It should be noted that this was not the original intention. The episode titles have been applied retrospectively.
